John Vining announced the addition of two new golfers Wednesday. Max Schmidtke and Hunter Rebrovich will join the Coyotes for the 2021-22 season.
"Max and Hunter will be great additions to our program," Vining said. "Both have a great passion and work ethic in everything they take part in. I am excited to have them join us this fall. I know they are both equally eager to get here and help this program."

Rebrovich played his high school golf for Alexandria Area High School where he participated in three MSHSL State Tournaments, was a four-time all-conference golfer and a two-year team captain. He was also a four-time all-conference academic selection and the 2019 MGA Four-Ball Champion.
At Minnesota State, he had a scoring average of 75.1 in both his freshman and sophomore season. He shot a career-low 67 at the Holiday Inn Express Classic and ranked second on the Mavericks this past season. Rebrovich earned second team all-NSIC honors his sophomore season and was the top Maverick at the NSIC Championships this past season with his fourth place finish.
Rebrovich plans to major in Business at USD and will be a junior this coming season.

Schmidtke played his high school golf for Andrew Delong at Sheboygan North High School. As a Raider, Schmidtke was a three-time all-state selection, four-time all-conference selection, two-time conference player of the year and was a three-time state qualifier. He tied for eighth place his senior season for his best place at state. He has the school record for fewest strokes in a round with 69 at the 2019 WIAA Regional Championship. Academically, Schmidtke was a two-year member of the National Honors Society.
At Illinois Springfield, he recorded the fourth lowest season scoring average in program history in the 2020-21 season with a 74.79 average in 14 rounds of action. He also has the second lowest round in program history (67). He recorded two top 10 finishes including a top five finish at the Dan Salisbury Memorial Tournament with a two round score of 147. He recorded a season low three round score of 219 at the Brickyard Invitational.
Schmidtke plans to major in Business Administration and will be a junior this coming season.
