VERMILLION, S.D.—South Dakota track and field, in partnership with SDHSAA, will feature select high school races on the track at the USD Alumni Meet on Feb. 5 inside the DakotaDome.
 
Available events for high school aged athletes include the 60 meters, 60-meter hurdles, 400 meters and the one-mile run. The high school races will take place prior to the collegiate race of the same event within the meet schedule. Interested high school athletes must pre-register online here by Feb. 4 to compete. The cost is $5 per athlete.
 
USD Track & Field Junior Day
In addition, Coyote track and field will be hosting a USD Junior Day on Feb. 5 for any high school juniors thinking about competing in track and field at the next level. The event includes admission to the USD Alumni Meet to watch the Coyotes, a chance to meet the coaches, a campus tour and a campus admissions meeting.
