The South Dakota women's golf team completed the first of two days of the Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational on Monday with a 36-hole day. The Coyotes ended the day in a tie for 12th place after team rounds of 298 and 299. After day one,
Emma Henningsson is in a tie for second place individually and is one stroke off the lead. Henningsson will look to capture an individual tournament title tomorrow in her third tournament with South Dakota.

Henningsson tied with two other players for the lowest round in the first 18 holes of the day. She started the day with a two-under par 70 thanks to six birdies in the round. Henningsson scored back-to-back birdies on holes seven and eight and back-to-back birdies on holes 11 and 12 in round one. She made the turn to round two and added three more birdies to her total with all three coming on the back nine. Henningsson closed out day one with an even-par 72 in round two.

Molly Fossen and
Akari Hayashi are both in a tie for 53rd place after day one of the tournament. Fossen shot rounds of 76 and 75 in day one while Hayashi recorded rounds of 78 and 73. Fossen sank four birdies in round one before adding two more to her total in round two. Hayashi had one in round one and sank three more in round two.

Danica Badura carded rounds of 74 and 81 in day one of the Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational. Badura scored three birdies in round one with two of those coming on the back nine before scoring one more in round two. She sits in a tie for 81st place individually after day one.

Catie Nekola posted rounds of 78 and 79 in day one of the tournament. She recorded back-to-back birdies in round one on holes 11 and 12 for her two birdies of the day. Nekola is in a tie for 89th place with one round to go.

The final round will get underway at 8 a.m. pacific time tomorrow. The third round will begin with a shotgun start from Tacoma Country and Golf Club.
