The Meet
South Dakota track and field hosts the USD Alumni Meet this Saturday at the Mildred J. Hillenbrand Memorial Track inside the DakotaDome. The meet is scheduled to start at 10 a.m.
Fan entrances will be set up on the East side of the DakotaDome with cash-only admission at $10 for adults and $5 for youth tickets (18 & under).
The Coyotes
South Dakota boasts 17 individuals and one relay ranked in the top-100 nationally this season. There are four athletes inside the top-20 with three of those in the pole vault. Second-year freshman
Eerik Haamer vaulted a season-best 17-11 (5.46m) last weekend to move to eighth in the NCAA and garner his first career Summit field athlete of the week honor. Freshman
Marleen Mülla ranks ninth on the women's side with her mark of 14-2 ½ (4.33m) from Nebraska. Third-year sophomore
Brithton Senior's time of 7.81 seconds from the Hawkeye Invitational remains 16th in the country, while second-year freshman
Tre Young's personal best of 17-3 (5.26m) moved him to 20th in the men's pole vault to round out the group. Second-year freshman
Sara Reifenrath also picked up Summit League weekly accolades with her performance in the 200 meters last week, clocking 23.77 seconds. Classmate
Erin Kinney has also made some noise early in the season, breaking the program record in the 60 meters in her last three tries. South Dakota's men and women are both ranked in the top-75 of the latest TFRI national standings.

The Competition
A total of 14 teams will be competing at the USD Alumni Meet. Joining the Coyotes in action are athletes from South Dakota State, Creighton, Omaha, Buena Vista, Dakota State, Dakota Wesleyan, Dordt, Midland, Morningside, Mount Marty, Northwestern (Iowa), Southwest Minnesota State and Wayne State.
Once a Coyote, Always a Coyote: Alumni Gathering
Coyote track and field alumni are invited to return to their old stomping grounds and cheer on this year's squad at the annual alumni meet. An informal gathering for track and field alumni will be held from 2-4 p.m. the DakotaDome Club.
