BROOKINGS, S.D.—South Dakota fifth-year junior
Abby Ripperda led a quartet of Coyotes in the 3,000 meters at the SDSU Indoor Classic on Friday night inside the Sanford Jackrabbit Athletic Complex.
Ripperda finished sixth in her first 3,000-meter race of the indoor season with a time of 10:24.93. A native of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Ripperda is enrolled in USD's physical therapy program.

Renee Thompson followed behind in 11th place with a time of 10:29.97. Second-year freshman
Abbie Schmidt and third-year sophomore
Haley Miller took 13th and 14th, respectively, in the 50-person field.
South Dakota track and field returns to action next Friday at the Nebraska Tune-Up in Lincoln, Nebraska.
