South Dakota men's golf continues their spring schedule at the Loyola Intercollegiate tournament Sunday-Tuesday. The three-day event will be held at the Palm Valley Golf Club in Goodyear, Arizona.
South Dakota is one of 18 teams competing in the Loyola Intercollegiate tournament.All three rounds of the tournament will begin at 8:45 a.m. CT with a shotgun start each day. Palm Valley Golf Club plays as a par 72 and will cover 7,015 yards.
The Coyotes will have a few changes in their lineup from last week's tournament. The lineup will consist of junior
Max Schmidtke, junior
Ian Johnston, junior
Ryan Neff, junior
Hunter Rebrovich, and sophomore
Nick LaMotte. Freshman
Logan Hamak will make his spring debut playing as an individual this week.
USD is coming off a 16th place finish at the Advance Partner's Intercollegiate tournament in Palm City, Florida, last week. Schidtke led the team with a 27th overall finish. He recorded rounds of 74-75-73 in the three days for a 222 overall score. Johnston started out hot in that tournament with a career-low 2-under par 70 in his first action of the spring. He also carded the second most birdies in the tournament with 12 total and was one of 18 players to score an eagle during the three rounds.
The Coyotes last played in this tournament back in the 2020 spring season. USD finished with rounds of 294-286-282 for a 2-under par team score.
