Rebrovich Places in Top-10 as Coyotes Conclude Loyola Intercollegiate

GOODYEAR, Ariz. – The Coyotes completed the three-day Loyola Intercollegiate tournament Tuesday with a 6-over par 294 in round three. South Dakota shot 872 as a team over the three rounds and finished in 10th place. USD was led by junior Hunter Rebrovich who finished in 7th place individually.
 
Rebrovich recorded rounds of 71-69-70 for a 210 54-hole score. He scored two birdies in the final day to bring his score under par for the third consecutive round. Rebrovich sank 14 birdies in the tournament, good for seventh most among all players. He also averaged the third-best par four scoring average at 3.87 strokes throughout the tournament. His 7th place finish is his first top-10 finish as a Coyote.
 
Max Schmidtke finished at even par after 54 holes. Schmidtke scored rounds of 71-70-75 to place him in a tie for 31st individually. He carded 10 birdies over the three days and tied for the fifth most pars with 37 pars throughout the tournament.
 
Ryan Neff closed out his tournament with a 3-over par 75. Neff recorded three birdies in day three including his last hole of the day. He finished in a tie for 70th place with a 223 overall score after rounds of 72-76-75.
 
Nick LaMotte placed himself in a tie for 73rd after a 2-over par 74 in his last round. LaMotte scored one birdie on the final day and a clean front nine by parring each hole. He carded rounds of 74-76-74 for a 224 total score.
 
Ian Johnston finished in a tie for 81st after a 3-over 75 in the last round. Johnston sank eight birdies in the three days and scored rounds of 73-77-75 for a 225 score.
 
Competing as an individual, freshman Logan Hamak ended his tournament with his lowest career round. Hamak carded five birdies in round three for a 1-under par 71. He placed in a tie for 51st after rounds of 73-76-71 in his first action of the spring.
 
The Coyotes will get a couple weeks off before their next tournament. South Dakota will travel to Boulder City, Nevada, for the South Dakota State Spring Invite on Mar. 11-12.
