That broadcast will also be available for streaming on espn+ and Midco Sports Plus (subscription required). The Coyotes
South Dakota (18-4, 11-0) is receiving votes in the USA Today Coaches Poll for the second-straight week and have the nation's longest winning streak at 16. A win on Saturday would not only keep USD perfect in the Summit this season, but give the Coyotes a two-game advantage in the regular season title race. Since the first meeting with South Dakota State in January, it has been a one-two punch between seniors
Liv Korngable and
Chloe Lamb. Korngable's averaged 16 points and Lamb's added 15.2 points during the stretch. Senior
Hannah Sjerven and second-year freshman
Maddie Krull have also averaged double-figures during that stretch at 12.2 and 11.8 points per game through those last six. The Coyotes' scoring defense ranks 13th in the country at 53.8 points per game.
The Jackrabbits
South Dakota State (14-8, 10-1) has turned on the jets since USD held them to 42 points back in January. The Jackrabbits have averaged 85.3 over the last six games while shooting 54.9 percent from the field and outscoring league foes by 35.7 points per game. SDSU ranks third nationally in overall field-goal percentage and seventh in 3-point percentage this season. Reigning Summit League Player of the Year Myah Selland has taken over as the Jacks' leading scorer, averaging nearly 15 points in the last six games while shooting 58.6 percent from the floor. All five starters are averaging nine or more points on the season for SDSU.
The Series
South Dakota State leads the all-time series 60-34, including a 32-11 advantage in Brookings. The Coyotes have won three of the last seven meetings inside Frost Arena. USD also took game one of this season's series 65-42 back on Jan. 8 in Vermillion.
One Last Thing
Saturday is the last guaranteed meeting between USD's
Chloe Lamb and SDSU's Myah Selland with a potential match-up remaining in the Summit League Tournament. The two South Dakota Class B standouts have turned the in-state battle into one of the nation's best mid-major rivalries.
