Hill Signed to 2022 Class

South Dakota head men's basketball coach Eric Peterson is excited to announce the signing of Jevon Hill to the 2022 class. Hill is a native of Wichita, Kansas, and will head to South Dakota after graduating from Legacy School of Sport Sciences this spring.

"We are thrilled to welcome Jevon and his family to South Dakota," said Peterson. "Jevon is a big, skilled forward that can play a few different positions for us. He can really shoot the ball, but with his size and length, he will help us on the defensive end as well."

Hill spent his first three years at Trinity Academy in Wichita, Kansas, before transferring to Legacy School of Sport Sciences in Spring, Texas – a few miles north of Houston, Texas. While at Trinity Academy, Hill earned Central Plains League second team honors along with receiving all-state honorable mention in 2021.

Hill played his senior season under PJ Couisnard at Legacy School of Sport Sciences. The 6-9 forward averaged 11.2 points per game, 3.7 rebounds per game, and nearly two assists and two steals per game. He also shot 44 percent from behind the three-point line.

Hill is the son of Tyrone and Alisha Hill.
