The South Dakota men's golf team completed their second round of action at the Gene Miranda Falcon Invite. The Coyotes shot a 302 as a team and moved to 19th place in the tournament. Senior

Bryce Hammer led the team by shooting the lowest rounds on the day.

Hicks and Hammer shot 3-over 75's on Saturday. Hicks made one birdie on the day and recorded eight pars on the front nine. Hammer led the team with four birdies on the afternoon at Eisenhower Golf Club. He carded birdies on holes seven, nine, 10, and 13 to get to 3-over on the day.

Max Schmidtke and
Ian Johnston both recorded scores of 4-over 76's. Both Schmidtke and Johnston had two birdies each on the day. Schmidtke's birdies came in back-to-back fashion on nine and 10 while Johnston's came on the back nine.

Hunter Rebrovich rounded out the scoring efforts for USD on day two. Rebrovich ended the day with a 5-over 77 in the second 18. He started out strong on the front nine, scoring three birdies on the front including the opening and closing hole of the first nine.

Rebrovich and Hicks are the highest individual placements for South Dakota after two rounds as they are tied for 48th place with one round to go.

The third and final round at the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational begins tomorrow morning from Colorado Springs. The Coyotes begin the day on the back nine at 9:20 am CT with Hammer as the first tee time. Johnston is after Hammer at 9:20 am CT followed by Schmidtke at 9:40 am CT, Hicks at 9:50 CT, and Rebrovich at 10:00 am CT.
