The South Dakota men's golf team completed the first two rounds of the Zach Johnson invite in Des Moines, Iowa, on Monday. The Coyotes sit in a tie for 10th place as a team after day one with rounds of 310 and 298.
Bryce Hammer paced the team in day one with a five-over total through two rounds.

Hammer fired off rounds of 74 and 73 on Monday for his two lowest rounds in a South Dakota uniform. He carded five birdies in round one and three birdies on the front nine of round two to lead the team. Hammer played well on the front nine of both rounds, scoring an even-par front in round one and a two-under par front in round two. He sits in a tie for 18th place after day one.

Logan Hamak carded rounds of 78 and 73 in his fall debut. Hamak scored four birdies on the day with three of those coming in round two. The sophomore stands in a tie for 33rd place after the first two rounds of play.

Max Schmidtke had two rounds of 78 in his first day of the Zach Johnson invite. He posted two birdies in each round including his final hole of the day on the par-four seventh hole. Schmidtke is in a tie for 59th place individually after day one.

Nick LaMotte also made his fall debut today and shot 80 in round one and 77 in round two. He had four birdies on the day with three of those coming in round two. LaMotte is in a tie for 61st place after the first two rounds.

Hunter Rebrovich shot rounds of 84 and 75 in his first day. He carded five birdies on the day and ended his day with an eagle on the par-five ninth hole. Rebrovich starts tomorrow in a tie for 68th place individually.

Playing as an individual,
Ryan Neff scored rounds of 77 and 83 in day one. Neff scored his lone birdie of the day on the par-five ninth hole. He is in a tie for 73rd place individually with one round to go.

The third and final round begins with a shotgun start at 9:00 am tomorrow from Glen Oaks Country Club.
