The South Dakota men's golf team opens the fall portion of the schedule at the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational hosted by Air Force. The event will cover three days of 18-hole rounds at Eisenhower Golf Club in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Round one begins Friday morning at 9:30 am CT with round two on Saturday starting off at the same time. Round three on Sunday will begin at 8:30 am CT. All three rounds will be tee times.Â
The field for this tournament includes 24 teams across the nation. USD and Denver are two teams in this tournament representing the Summit League. The invitational is a two-part event with the team competition being played on the Blue Course and the individual event on the Silver Course. The Blue Course will play as a par 72 and cover 7,541 yards.
South Dakota's lineup features a returning face and a new face in the fall season. Head coach
John Vining's first lineup of the year features experienced guys with all five consisting of seniors.

Hunter Rebrovich,
Ben Hicks,
Bryce Hammer, and
Ian Johnston make up the starters for USD. Hammer, a graduate transfer from Iowa State, will be making his Coyote debut at the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational.
The Coyotes feature a group that has played a lot of golf in their career. Of the nine players on the roster, six of them are seniors. Schmidtke is the team's top returner after leading the team with a 73.68 stroke average. Rebrovich was second on the team with a 75.74 stroke average in his first season with the Coyotes. Hicks makes his return to the course after suffering an injury that kept him out for most of the season last year while Johnston looks to continue his trend of improving his stroke average every season.
