SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – South Dakota women's swimming and diving team members

Taylor Buhr and
Gabbie Ahrendt earned individual victories during Saturday's day two of the Coyote Extravaganza held at Midco Aquatic Center.

The Coyote women posted a 4-1 dual mark for the second straight day while the men's team came away with a 1-2 mark.

South Dakota women came away with dual wins over St. Cloud State (155-67), Augustana (148-75), South Dakota State (130-93) and Sioux Falls (144-76) while falling to Northern Iowa (95-128).

The men's squad earned a win over Augustana (151-66) while suffering dual losses to South Dakota State (88-129) and St. Cloud State (84-138).

Middaugh, a senior, backed up her win in the one-meter diving event on Friday by winning the three-meter event on Saturday. It was her first individual win of the season on the three-meter board and the third of her career. She posted a season best point total of 255.90.

Ahrendt, a freshman, swam to a victory in the 500 free in 5:12.79 while also finishing second in the 200 IM in 2:10.51.

Buhr, a sophomore, won the 100 breast in 2:21.07 and joined
Grace Schultz,
Sara Mayer and
Emily Kahn on a runner-up 200 medley relay quartet that clocked 1:46.88.

South Dakota men's foursome of
Jacob Carlson,
Adam Fisher,
Aidan Gantenbein and
Zachary Kopp swam to victory in the 400 free relay in 3:05.36.

Carlson, a senior transfer, was second in the 100 free (47.54) while runner-up finishes also came from
Keegan Henning in the 1650 free (16:53.56) and freshman
Tanner Reed in the 200 fly (1:57.52).

Kahn had a runner-up finish in the 200 free (1:56.67) and
Skyler Leverenz was second in the 50 free (24.62).

The South Dakota women's quartet of Schultz, Buhr, Mayer and Kahn were second in the 200 medley relay while the team of Ahrendt, Mayer,
Tatum O'Shea and Kahn finished second in the 400 free relay. Â

Mayer was third in the 50 free (24.70) and Schultz third in the 200 IM (2:12.06) while the men's team received third-place finishes from
Mack Sathre (200 free, 1:45.75),
Joaquin Contreras-Fallico (200 back, 1:54.56), Berdahl (200 breast, 2:08.41) and Henning (500 free, 4:50.99).

The Coyotes close out the first semester with two more competitions, hosting a 50-meter long course event at Midco on Wednesday, November 15 before taking part in the three-day Augustana Invitational at Midco that runs Nov. 16-18.
