South Dakota concluded the first day at the Tulane Classic in New Orleans, Louisiana. The Coyotes compiled a team score of 315 in round one and sit in a tie for ninth place.
Akari Hayashi and
Emma Henningsson tied for the best score for USD in day one. Hayashi and Henningsson each posted 77's in the first round. Hayashi had two birdies on the day on the front nine while Henningsson's birdie came on the par-three third hole. Both are tied for 19th place individually in the standings.
Catie Nekola recorded a seven-over par 79 in the first day of the tournament. Her one birdie of the day came on the par-three 17th hole. Nekola is tied for 39th individually after round one.
Molly Fossen completed the day with an 82 in round one while
Danica Badura finished with an 84. Fossen is in a tie for 60th place and Badura is tied for 76th place.
The second round begins at 9 a.m. ET for the Coyotes tomorrow morning. Badura will be the first one to tee off followed by Fossen at 9:08 a.m., Nekola at 9:16 a.m., Henningsson at 9:24 a.m., and Hayashi at 9:32 a.m.
