The South Dakota women's golf completed the first tournament of the spring slate with a 16th place finish at the Tulane Classic. The Coyotes shot a 322 in the third round and scored a 952 overall score.
Akari Hayashi finished the highest for South Dakota at a tie for 49th place.

Hayashi closed out the tournament with an 80 in the final round. Her two birdies of the day came on the par-three third hole and the par-five 11th hole. Hayashi totaled six birdies throughout the tournament. She finished with a 236 (77-79-80) three-round score.

Danica Badura posted the best score for South Dakota on Tuesday. Badura recorded a four-over par 76 in round three. She had five birdies on the day with three coming on the front nine and scored eight total birdies during the week. Badura ended in a tie for 52nd place after a 237 (84-77-76) three-round score.

Catie Nekola scored her third-straight 79 of the tournament on Tuesday. Nekola carded a birdie on the par-five fifth hole and the par-three 17th hole. She had four total birdies during the event. Nekola finished in a tie for 52nd place after a 237 (79-79-79) total score.

Emma Henningsson ended the tournament with an 87. She recorded birdies on the par-five second hole and the par-four fourth hole. Henningsson carded four birdies in total this week. She finished the tournament with a 247 (77-83-87) total score and in a tie for 84th place.

Molly Fossen recorded an 88 on Tuesday to wrap up her tournament. Her one birdie on the day came on the par-five 11th hole. She had two total in three days. Fossen's total score of 250 (82-80-88) placed her in a tie for 89th place.

South Dakota will compete again in 10 days at the Rio Verde Invite. The three-day tournament begins on February 24 in Rio Verde, Arizona.
