The South Dakota women's golf team completed the final round of the Rio Verde Invitational with a team score of 314. After rounds of 314-298-314, USD ended in 14th place with a 926 54-hole score. The Coyotes were led by
Catie Nekola who recorded a top-25 finish individually.

Nekola posted a four-over par 76 in the third round. She had two birdies on the day with both appearing on the front nine. Nekola placed in a tie for 23rd place with a 227 (78-73-76) three-round total. It was the third top-25 individual finish for Nekola in her first season with the Coyotes.

Akari Hayashi had the second-best score of the final round with a five-over par 77. She recorded two birdies on the day with one on the par-four third hole and the par-four 11th hole. Hayashi's 54-hole score of 229 (78-74-77) earned her a tie for 37th place individually.

Emma Henningsson finished the tournament with a seven-over par 79 on Sunday. She sank a birdie on the par-five sixth hole and the par-four 17th hole. A 234 three-round score (80-75-79) placed Henningsson in a tie for 57th place overall.

Molly Fossen recorded an 82 in the final round of play. Her 54-hole score of 238 (78-78-82) earned her a tie for 67th place.
Danica Badura finished in 88th place after a three-round score of 246 (84-76-86).

South Dakota will take two weeks off before returning to the course at the Jackrabbit Invitational. The two-day event will take place in Boulder City, Nevada, on March 13 and 14.
