The South Dakota men's golf team is set to compete in the Summit League Championship this week down in Lincoln, Nebraska. The tournament consists of three 18-hole rounds and is played at Wilderness Ridge Golf Course.  The course will play as a par 71 and cover 7,034 yards.Â

South Dakota's lineup for the tournament includes
Max Schmidtke at the No. 1 bag followed by
Ben Hicks,
Hunter Rebrovich,
Bryce Hammer, and
Nick LaMotte. LaMotte will be the first to tee off on Sunday at 9:20 a.m. followed by Hammer at 9:30 a.m., Rebrovich at 9:40 a.m., Hicks at 9:50 a.m., and Schmidtke at 10 a.m. Tee times for rounds two and three will depend on results in the previous round.Â

In their final tournament of the spring season, the Coyotes finished in 10th place at the Tunica National Intercollegiate. Schmidtke had the best placement for South Dakota with a tie for 27th place individually after rounds of 75-73-73. Prior to the Tunica Intercollegiate, USD recorded its best finish of the season with a runner-up placement at the Western Illinois Invite. Rebrovich was the top Coyote finisher with a tie for fourth place individually after rounds of 72-70-75. It was the best finish for Rebrovich in his Coyote career.Â

South Dakota has finished in the top three as a team at the Summit League Championship three times in the last five years including a runner-up finish in the 2019 season. The Coyotes have claimed a Summit League title in the 2015 season after shooting a 909 overall score.Â
