AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo.—South Dakota junior
Logan Hamak shot an even-par 72 to highlight Coyote scores Monday on day two of the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational. South Dakota stands in 13
th place of 24 teams heading into the third and final round Tuesday.
Hamak's card featured three birdies and one triple bogey. He remains 1-over par for the tournament and moved up two spots to 22
nd place out of 120 competitors in the individual standings. Valparaiso's Caleb VanArragon has posted back-to-back 67s for 10-under and has a two-shot lead on Jakub Hrinda of George Washington and Christoph Bleier of Colorado State. Seventeen players are under par.
Coyote freshmen
Cole Witherow and
Joe Rohlwing shot 74 Monday,
Ryan Neff shot 75 and
Max Schmidtke turned in a 76. Witherow is 3-over for the tournament and stands in a tie for 36
th place. Schmidtke is tied for 56
th place at 5-over.
South Dakota senior
Nick LaMotte is one of 33 golfers competing in an individual tournament on the Silver Course. He backed up an even-par 72 Sunday with a 3-under par 69 Monday and stands in seventh place with one round to go. Three golfers sit atop the leaderboard there at 7-under par.
