SCOUTING SOUTH DAKOTA
South Dakota enters the dual season coming off one of its strongest fall campaigns in the Division I era.Â
The Coyotes won 52 singles matches and 36 doubles matches in the four weekend tournaments they participated in.

Havlickova, a junior, was 7-5 during the fall season while Chadick, a junior, was 9-2.Â
Chadick and sophomore
Anna Medvyedyeva fashioned a 12-1 doubles mark during the fall season.Â
South Dakota coach
Brett Barnett, in his 10th season, added three freshman --
Sorcha Caves,

Hitakamya Narwal -- to the roster this year to go with the six returners from a year ago.Â

SCOUTING IOWA STATE
The Cyclones were 21-6 a year ago and finished 7-2 in the Big XII. However, a coaching change prior to this school year has left the roster with just one returning player from the 2023 season -- Anna Kuearum, a junior.Â
Iowa State got its spring season going a week ago by competing in the Duel in the Deseret in Palm Springs, California.Â
Juliette Nask, a transfer from Michigan State, went 2-1 in singles play and freshman Gala Arangio, Caroline nicholls and Ashlee Narker all grabbed their first collegiate victories in the event.Â
Despite the roster turnover the Cyclones were picked fourth out of 10 teams in the Big XII preseason coaches poll.Â
Â
SCOUTING MISSOURI STATE
The Bears finished 7-15 a year ago in head coach Ellie Burger's first season. Missouri State is picked eighth in the Missouri Valley Conference preseason poll.
Four Bears ended the fall season with winning records in singles play: Cristina Flaquer (7-4), Tuana Gunal (6-3), Sandra Lukacova (5-4) and Juliette Robinson (8-3).Â
Missouri State has four players back from a year ago -- Amy Henning, Mary Houston, Lukacova and Robinson -- but lost it's No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles team.Â
