SIOUX FALLS, S.D.—South Dakota fifth-year senior Marshall Faurot has been selected as the TicketSmarter Summit League Peak Performer of the Week by the league office. Faurot received the men's field recognition announced Tuesday.
 
Faurot garners the weekly honor for the second time this season and fourth time of his career.
 
Hailing from Scott City, Kansas, Faurot captured another pole vault competition on Saturday at the Mark Colligan Memorial in Lincoln, Nebraska. He cleared a season-best height of 17-3 (5.26m) to win the meet. The height leads the Summit League and is tied for 22nd nationally.
 
South Dakota hosts the Coyotes' annual Alumni Meet this weekend at the Mildred J. Hillenbrand Memorial Track inside the DakotaDome on Friday and Saturday.
