SIOUX FALLS, S.D.—South Dakota junior guard
Grace Larkins has been named the Summit League December Peak Performer of the Month.
Larkins averaged 19 points, six rebounds and 4.6 assists per game during the month of December. She knocked down shots at a 50 percent clip from the field and 40 percent from behind the arc.
A native of Altoona, Iowa, Larkins surpassed 1,000 career points on New Year's Eve against Omaha. She recorded three 20-point games and one double-double during the month.
Larkins is the first Coyote to net the honor during the 2023-24 academic year. This is her second career Summit League monthly accolade, previously earning recognition for the month of January in 2023.
The Coyotes return home to host Idaho State in the second of two games of the Big Sky-Summit League Challenge. Tip-off is set for 1 p.m. Saturday inside the Sanford Coyote Sports Center in Vermillion, South Dakota. The game will also serve as USD women's basketball's annual alumni game.
