SIOUX FALLS – South Dakota swimming and diving team members Samantha Mersnick and Charlie Matthews have been selected as the TicketSmarter Summit League Peak Performers of the Week the league announced on Tuesday.
 
Mersnick, named the Summit League Women's Peak Diver of the Week for the second time this season, scored 242.10 points on the three-meter board to finish fourth at the FIU Sprint Invite. The junior from St. Charles, Missouri, also tallied a final point total of 207.50 on the one-meter board.
 
Matthews, the Summit League Men's Peak Diver of the Week, placed fourth on the one-meter board at the FIU Sprint Invite as the freshman from Overland Park, Kansas, had a 215.70 point total.
 
The Coyotes return to the pool in the team's final dual inside the DakotaDome Pool when rival South Dakota State comes to Vermillion on Jan. 20.
