Madison, Wis. — The South Dakota men's and women's cross country team raced in the 2024 Wisconsin Pre-Nationals.
 
The Yotes faced tough competition as the majority of the teams are nationally ranked in the top 30. Including No. 3 University of Arkansas, No. 4 Iowa State University, and No. 5 University of Notre Dame on the men's side. On the women's side No. 2 Brigham Young University, No. 3 University of Washington, and No. 4 University of Notre Dame competed with the Coyotes.
 
The women's cross country team placed 26^th overall where Madison Brouwer was the first to finish the race for the Coyotes. Brouwer took 94^th place overall.
 
Caleb Rivera was the first Yote to finish the race on the men's side and took 37^th overall. The team finished in 22^nd place.
