The South Dakota women's tennis team has just a single match on tap this weekend after playing two-match weekends in each of the first three weeks of the season. The Coyotes travel to Minneapolis to face off with the Big Ten's Minnesota Gophers.
SCOUTING SOUTH DAKOTA
The Coyotes are 3-3 and have split their matches with a win and a loss on each of the first three weekends and last week dropped a hard-fought 4-3 decision to Montana State before registering the program's first-ever win over Drake, 4-3.
Grace Chadick, a junior, won both of her singles matches last week and is 3-1 on the season at No. 5 and 4-1 in the spring dual season.
Anna Medvyedyeva, a sophomore, is 4-2 on the dual season and had the team clinching point against Drake.
SCOUTING MINNESOTA
The Gophers are 4-0 and have dropped just two points in those four matches in picking up wins over Marquette, Lindenwood, Creighton and North Dakota.
Mia Liepert, the No. 1 singles player owns a 3-1 record, while the other five singles players -- Aiva Schmitz, Anali Kocevar, Emma Belluomini, Sofia Pinto and Sofia Pizzoni are 4-0.
