Box Score LINCOLN, Nebraska – Nebraska won every match to hand South Dakota women's tennis team a 7-0 dual setback on Tuesday at Dillon Tennis Complex.
The Huskers (7-1) won the doubles point with a pair of 6-2 wins at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles as South Dakota played with some different pairings due to illness and injury.

"We played a pretty good match tonight," coach
Brett Barnett said. "We did a lot of things better than previous matches.Â

"I thought we competed hard and well."

South Dakota No. 1 doubles duo of
Bea Havlickova and
Paige Alter were trailing 4-3 when the match was halted.

Selena Bird fell 6-3, 7-5 at No. 5 singles while
Hitakamya Narwal battled to a three-set loss, dropping the tie-break by a 10-7 count at No. 6 singles.

"Bea and Paige played very good doubles when we got stopped," said Barnet. "Hiti and Selena did great in singles and both had their chances to win.Â

"We have a lot of positives to take from this and we have to get ready for a battle with Omaha."

South Dakota (3-7) opens Summit League play on Friday hosting Omaha outside in Vermillion at the USD Tennis Courts with first serve slated for 2:30 p.m.
