VERMILLION, S.D.—The University of South Dakota women's triathlon team was recognized as a Scholar All-America team for the 2023 season by the College Triathlon Coaches Association (CTCA). In addition, five Coyotes received honorable mention CTCA Scholar All-America honors.
Grace Busch,
Franziska Neck,
Ella Spitz,
Verena Vesely and
Chelsea Webber all earned Scholar All-America honorable mention accolades. This marks the first career recognition for all five.
To qualify for CTCA Scholar All-America status, a student-athlete must finish in the top-20 of the national meet and have maintained a 3.5 grade-point average for the fall semester. Honorable mention accolades are presented to national championship qualifiers with a 3.5 GPA who finished outside of the top 20 at the meet.
