MIAMI—South Dakota sophomore Chelsea Webber finished 16th in the under-23 division and 32nd overall at the 2024 Americas Triathlon Championships Miami held at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
 
The race was the elite distance, twice the distance of the standard collegiate race in each discipline, with a 1,500-meter swim, nearly a 40-kilometer bike ride and a 10,000-meter run.
 
Webber finished the race in 2:13:46. She completed the swim in 21:37, the bike leg in 1:01:15 and the run in 49:36.
 
South Dakota kicks off its sixth season of collegiate triathlon in the fall of 2024.
