BOULDER CITY, Nev. – The South Dakota men's golf team will compete in the Jackrabbit Invitational in Boulder City, Nevada this week. The two-day event will feature three rounds of golf and will take place on Friday and Saturday at the Boulder City Golf Club.
Eight members of the team, inclusive of everyone on the roster who is not currently redshirting, will compete in the event. The Coyotes' lineup will feature
Max Schmidtke, Nick Lamotte,
Logan Hamak,
Cole Witherow and
Ryan Neff.
Joe Rohlwing,
Parker Etzel, and
Danny Renner will also compete as individuals.
The event is hosted by Summit rivals South Dakota State. That institution is not actually located in Nevada, they are just hosting the tournament there. The Coyotes and Jackrabbits are two of four Summit League squads participating. The others are St. Thomas and North Dakota. The full field includes the four Summit institutions plus Embry-Riddle, Northern Iowa, Loyola Marymount (individuals only), Bradley, Niagara, Southern Utah, UC Santa Barbara, UNLV (individuals only), Creighton and USC Upstate.
Rounds one and two will happen on Friday, and will tee off at 7am. Round three will tee off at 7am Saturday. The Boulder Creek Golf Club is a par 72 course. It is a total of 7,428 yards long. Live stats can be found here.
