HUMACAO, Puerto Rico – The South Dakota women's golf team wrapped up the third and final round of play at the Puerto Rico Classic in Humacao, Puerto Rico on Thursday.
Ella Greenberg led the way for the Yotes finishing tied for 19
th with a 7-over par score of 223. USD finished in 8
th place as a team.

Catie Nekola turned in her best score of the tournament with a 1-over par score of 73 on the final day to jump up nine spots to tie for 30
th place. Nekola finished the tournament with a 11-over par score of 227.
Emma Henningsson recorded a 13-over par score of 229 to finish tied for 34
th place after recording scores of 75, 77 and 77.
Ava Schroeder turned in a 17-over par score of 233 after three rounds of action to finish tied for 43
rd. Rounding out the scorecard for the Yotes was Alex Wingnean with a 64
th place finish and a 30-over par score of 246.

South Dakota finished the tournament with a team score of 46-over par which saw them finish in eighth place. Florida Gulf Coast continued to stay hot after shooting a round two score of 286. The Eagles shot a 5-under par score of 283 on the final day. FGCU finished seven strokes ahead of second place finisher California Baptist. UNC Greensboro's Ava Romfo recorded a 3-under par score of 213 to take home the individual title. Romfo finished one stroke ahead of FGCU's Posie Farrelly who shot a final round score of 2-under to jump two spots to finish with a score of 214.

The Coyotes return stateside when they compete at the Ozarks National Invitational on March 25-27 hosted by Missouri State. The meet will take place in Branson, Missouri.
