VERMILLION, S.D. — Coyote head women's soccer coach Michael Thomas has announced the 2024 University of South Dakota non-conference schedule today, July 12. The Coyotes will play host in five of the matches in the non-conference season at First Bank & Trust Soccer Complex.
 
USD opens the season with three exhibition matches, beginning on August 3 when they play host to Creighton at First Bank & Trust Soccer Complex in Vermillion. The Coyotes will then make a Big Ten road trip the following week with trips to Iowa City, Iowa and Minneapolis, Minnesota to battle the Hawkeyes and Gophers, respectively on August 7 and 10.
 
The first countable contest in 2024 will be a road trip to Cedar Falls, Iowa to battle the Northern Iowa Panthers on Thursday, August 15.
 
A three-match home-stand will take place August 18-29 when the Yotes will host both the Eastern Washington Eagles (Aug. 25) and the Drake Bulldogs (Aug. 25).
 
South Dakota will then hit the road for a pair of matches with their final match against a Power 5 opponent slated for Sunday, September 1 against Kansas State in Manhattan, Kansas.
 
A pair of Big Sky squads will come in mid-September against Portland State (Sept. 8) and Northern Colorado (Sept. 12), bringing the Big Sky opponent total up to three in 2024.
 
Non-conference action will end with a trip to Laramie, Wyoming on Sunday, September 15 for a battle against the Wyoming Cowgirls out of the Mountain West Conference.
 
Summit League action begins on Thursday, September 26 with a trip to the Twin Cities to face the University of St. Thomas. The Interstate Series contest with South Dakota State is slated for Sunday, October 13 in Brookings.
