SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Coming off a conference tournament appearance in 2023, the South Dakota women's soccer team was picked fifth in the Summit League's preseason poll, announced by the conference Tuesday morning.
The Coyotes received 32 points in the poll to be picked fifth. Denver, South Dakota State, and Omaha were the top three teams in this year's preseason poll, with Oral Roberts coming in fourth. The Coyotes finished the 2023 regular season fifth, behind the four teams ahead of them in the preseason poll.
South Dakota opens its' season on the road at Northern Iowa Thursday afternoon. The home opener is Sunday against Morningside at 1 p.m. The Summit League opener for the Coyotes is at St. Thomas on Sept. 26. South Dakota is at South Dakota State Oct. 11 and ends the regular season at home against Denver on Oct. 27.
