VERMILLION, S.D. — The fourth annual Native American Heritage Game will take place during the University of South Dakota women's basketball team's home game against North Dakota on Saturday, February 1, with tip-off scheduled for 2 p.m.
The event will feature a pre-game Native American student-athlete honoring, the Lakota Flag Song, special performances and more. This marks the second time a women's basketball game will be part of this celebration.
During halftime, the Sampson Brothers and Jackie Bird will be honored with a special performance.
The first three Native American Heritage Games have averaged over 600 Native American students and alumni in attendance for the festivities in the Sanford Coyote Sports Center.
