Landon Olson, and men's sprinter
Ethan Baessler climbed in the top three in USD history in their respective events at the USD Alumni Meet Saturday afternoon at the Mildred J. Hillenbrand Memorial Track inside the DakotaDome in Vermillion.

Mooneyhan cleared 14-6 ¾ (4.44m) to take the top spot by a collegiate competitor in the women's pole vault, only placing behind USD Alum Emily Grove. This result moves her from sixth on the Coyote Top 10, to third, and puts her fourth in the NCAA this season.

Grove cleared 15-1 (4.60m) to finish three-quarters of an inch below her DakotaDome record set in 2022.
Marleen Mülla, the USD record holder indoor competing unattached Saturday, placed third at 14-4 ¾.
Kailee Swart (13-5) took fourth and
Anna Willis and
Gen Hirata took a share of fifth at 12-11.

Olson, who climbed to fourth in the USD record books with his performance at last month's SDSU Holiday, continued his climb towards the program Saturday. He, like Mooneyhan, set his personal best twice on Saturday, finishing the day at 7-2 ½ (2.20m).

Olson tied Jack Durst (2019) for second in the Coyote Top 10, behind Zack Anderson's indoor record 7-3 ¾.  Olson's clearance stands third in the NCAA this season. Anderson (6-10 ¼) and fellow alum Travis Larson (6-6 ¼) rounded out the top three.

Baessler, a freshman for the Coyotes competing in his first meet, joined
Ardell Inlay and Tom Green in a tie for second in the Coyote Top 10 in the 60-meters with a time of 6.73 seconds.
Ken-Mark Minkovski won the other Coyote men's title on the track, running 22.19 seconds in the 200-meters.

In total, the Coyotes claimed 12 titles, with alums adding four more titles.
Erin Kinney was the lone Coyote to earn multiple titles, winning the 60-meters (7.34) and 200-meters (24.26) Saturday.
Averi Schmeichel took second behind Kinney in the 60 (7.79) and 200 (25.32).

Outside of placing runner-up to Kinney twice, Schmeichel won the 60-meter hurdles in 8.48 seconds, just .02 seconds behind her personal best.
Calli Davis took the 400-meter title in 1:00.16 to round out the Coyote women's titles on the track.

The Coyote women also picked up field event titles in the high jump, triple jump, and weight throw.
Danii Anglin won the high jump at 5-7 (1.70m),
Matayah YellowMule the triple jump at 38-6 ¾ (11.75m), and
Delaney Smith the weight throw at 63-5 ½ (19.34m).
Lydia Knapp took second in the weight throw at 62-10 (19.15m).

Bennett Schwenn won the long jump at a mark of 23-7 ¼ and
Jayden Green took the triple jump at 47-0 ¼.
Carsen Staehr took second in the triple jump at 46-6 ¾ and
Brandon Vander Sluis placed second in the shot put at 56-7 ½.

Coyote alumni Chris Nilsen (pole vault, 19-0 ¼), Emily Grove (pole vault; 15-1),
Meredith Clark (shot put; 47-7 ¾), and Joe Anderson (3,000m; 8:38.88) earned event wins Saturday afternoon.

Eerik Haamer placed second behind Nilsen in the pole vault at 17-7 ¼.
Spencer Buley (17-1 ½) took third. Smith, the weight throw champion, took second to Clark in the shot put at 44-7 ½ (13.60m).

Caelyn Valandra took second in the 400 (1:00.41) and third in the 200 (26.32).
Alexus Sindelar took second in the mile at 5:09.22, Taylor Byerly second in the 3,000 at 10:46.34, and
Sophie Amin second in the 60 hurdles at 8.75 seconds.

On the men's side, Tommy Nikkel took second in the 200 at 22.35 seconds and
Jaden Damiano second in the 60 hurdles at 7.91.
