VERMILLION, S.D. — South Dakota Track and Field earn both the men's and women's team recognition and 18 student-athletes earn all-Academic from the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

The South Dakota women's track and field program has a 3.71 team GPA (on a 4.0 scale), which is 10th in the NCAA. It is the 14th consecutive year of a top-30 ranking national. The men's team stands with a 3.34 team GPA.

In order to be recognized as a USTFCCCA All-Academic team, a program must hold a combined cumulative GPA above 3.00. Both USD programs have held that distinction since 2011.

Individually, 11 Coyote women and seven Coyote men earned All-Academic status. The award requires student-athletes to carry a cumulative GPA above 3.25 and meet athletic standards. Student-athletes must either compete at any round of the NCAA Outdoor Championships, or be nationally ranked inside the top-96 of an individual event or top-48 of a relay event during the indoor season.
