Vermillion, S.D. — The South Dakota women's triathlon team has been named to the CTCA Scholar All-Academic team, which is achieved by upholding a team GPA average of 3.2.
 
Sophomore, Alexa Magallon, received an individual first team honor of Scholar All-American after obtaining a 3.5 GPA average or higher in the fall 2024 term and after her performance at the 2024 Collegiate Triathlon National Championships in Clermont, Florida. Magallon finished 17^th overall at the championships with a time of 01:00:48 from start to finish, scoring 178 points for the Coyotes.
 
Teammates, Franziska Neck (Sr.), Grace Busch (Sr.), and Ella Spitz (So.) were named CTCA Scholar All-Academic Honorable Mention after recording a 3.5 GPA average for the fall semester. This is their second time achieving this honor.
