South Dakota to host Iowa State at the USD Natatorium

 VERMILLION, S.D. — The Yotes women's swim and dive team will welcome Iowa State this Friday, October 24 at 3 p.m. for a dual home meet. 
 
 
THE OPPONENT
Iowa State comes is currently 0-3 on the season. They will be competing in a Thursday dual the day before they compete in Vermillion against South Dakota State. Their losses include a 103-197 loss against Nebraska on October 11, and two dual losses against Illinois on October 17 and 18.

LAST TIME OUT
USD last competed in a dual against Kansas, where they lost 105-241. Although there were no first place finishes in the meet, the women's team posted multiple second place finishes on the day. Gabbie Ahrendt was second in the 100 fly with a time of 58.49. Taylor Buhr was second in the 200 breast in 2:22.04. Emily DiProspero swam the 500 free in 5:18.78 for a second place finish. 
 
Mady Gehrke took second in the 100 free with a time of 53.44. Madysen Schmidt was second in the one meter dive with a score of 221.03. Emerson Smith was second in the 200 back in 2:08.10. 
 
The relay team of Gehrke, Alex PetersonLauren Eschmeyer, and Henley Hatzung were second in the 200 free relay. Ahrendt, Peterson, Gehrke, and Hatzung were second in the 400 free relay.
