KEY STORYLINES
- South Dakota is played their third straight game inside the Sanford Coyote Sports Center to open the season Monday night when they host Buena Vista. USD is 2-0 on the home floor to start the season.
- The Coyotes won each of their first two game by 25-plus points, most recently a 75-50 win over Air Force Friday.
- Through two games on the home floor, USD has allowed 50 points or less in both games. South Dakota is now 77-0 inside the Sanford Coyote Sports Center when allowing less than 60 points in a game.
- Seven different Coyotes have scored in double figures over two games so far this season. The Coyotes had seven players score in double figures in a game at least once last season.
- South Dakota set an SCSC record with 12 blocks in Monday's game against York.

- Four Coyotes scored in double figures as South Dakota avenged a loss from the 24-25 season with a 75-50 win over Air Force.
- Angelina Robles led the Yotes with 22 points, one shy of her career high. Joining her in double figures scoring was Patience Williams (14 points), Tori Schlagel (12 points), and Molly Joyce (11 points).
- South Dakota shot 57.4% from the field in the game and outrebounded Air Force 38-25. The Coyotes dominated points in the paint, scoring 54 of their 75 points, including 18 of 19 points in the first quarter, inside the red paint of the SCSC.

INSIDE THE BUENA VISTA SERIES
- The Coyotes and Beavers meet for the 7th time in series history.
- The Yotes are 2-4 against Buena Vista in program history, and are 1-1 in Vermillion.
- The previous meeting was a 75-66 win for the Coyotes in Storm Lake, Iowa during th 08-09 season.
- Two Coyote Hall of Famers were on the court the last time these two teams met. Bridget Yoerger scored 20 points and added 9 boards in the win. Class of 2025 inductee Jasmine (Mosley) Koopman totaled seven points and eight rebounds.
- These two teams haven't faced off in Vermillion since 1994-95, a 99-84 win for the Yotes.
- This is the first meeting between the two programs since the Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (IIAC) was rebranded as the American Rivers Conference in 2018.

RECORD VS THE AMERICAN RIVERS CONFERENCE
- The Coyotes are facing an ARC member for the first time with its current name and branding. All previous matchups with the conference was when it was named the Iowa Inercollegiate Athletic Conference (IIAC).
- South Dakota is 4-3 all-time against American Rivers Conference opponents.
- USD is 2-2 against the Beavers with BVU as a member of the ARC.
- South Dakota has only seen two other ARC/IIAC members in program history, Simpson College (2-0) and William Penn (0-1). William Penn is now a NAIA member and no longer a part of the ARC/IIAC.
- This is USD's first matchup with an ARC member since the 2008 meeting with Buena Vista.

- A three Coyotes set or tied career bests Friday against Air Force.
- Patience Williams set a career high with 7 made field goals against the Falcons. She also tied her career best in assists.
- Angelina Robles recorded her seventh career block, tying a career high of 1 blocks in a game.
- Tori Schlagel, playing in her second collegiate game, set career highs across the board, including her first double digit scoring game with 12 points.

- South Dakota women's basketball was picked fourth in the conference's preseason poll after earning the seven seed in the conference tournament last season.
- Defending regular season and tournament champion South Dakota State was picked to win the conference again, followed by North Dakota State and Oral Roberts.
- With conference Player of the Year, USD's own Grace Larkins, graduating, SDSU's Brooklyn Meyer is the conference's preseason Player of the Year.
- South Dakota's Angelina Robles was named second team preseason all-Summit League.

- South Dakota women's basketball kicks off its 10th season in the Sanford Coyote Sports Center Monday night.
- USD is 109-24 inside the SCSC since the building opened in 2016.
- The Coyotes have had a winning record in the SCSC in 8 of the 9 seasons played in the SCSC.
- South Dakota has a record of 58-13 against Summit League foes in the SCSC, including a winning record against all eight current foes.
- USD is undefeated against two Summit League opponents: North Dakota (8-0) and Kansas City (4-0).
- South Dakota has had two undefeated seasons at home during the SCSC era: 2018-19 and 2020-21.
- USD's first win against a Top 25 opponent during the Div. I era came in the SCSC (No. 23/22 Iowa State on Nov. 28, 2018).
