SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – South Dakota basketball's
Isaac Bruns was named this week's Kwik Star Summit League Peak Performer of the Week after leading the Coyotes to an 80-63 win over Air Force Saturday in Rapid City, South Dakota. It is Bruns' first career weekly accolade.
Bruns poured in a career and game-high 24 points and had six rebounds and one steal. Four of his six rebounds were off the offensive glass, as the Yotes tallied 17 offensive boards against the Falcons. Bruns was 8-for-20 from the field and 8-of-9 from the free throw line. He scored over half his points in the second half with 15 points on 5-of-10 shooting and was a perfect 5-of-5 from the free throw line.
Bruns is No. 3 in the Summit League in scoring averaging 17.4 points per game and has scored in double-figures in all eight games to start the season.
The Coyotes take on Portland State this Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the Sanford Coyote Sports Center for their first game of the Big Sky – Summit Challenge.
