Vermillion, S.D. — The South Dakota women's triathlon team will be racing in the Clermont Draft Legal located within the Lake Louisa State Park in Clermont, Florida, March 1-2.
The Coyotes will bring two competitors to represent the University of South Dakota: sophomore
Ella Spitz and freshman
Sydni Sawyer. Spitz will be competing in the National Training Developmental Race (NTDR), and Sawyer will be competing in the NCAA wave.
Saturday races will begin at 8:00 a.m. (EST) with the NTDR wave. The NCAA wave will start shortly after at 11:00 a.m. (EST). Sunday races have the same timeline.
The NTDR course consists of a one-lap swim, followed by a four-lap bike, and finishes with a two-lap run, while the NCAA course consists of a one-lap swim, a two-lap bike, and a one-lap run.
