Coyotes add Robles to 2025-26 roster

04.29.2025

VERMILLION, S.D. – South Dakota head women's basketball coach Carrie Eighmey has announced the signing of transfer Angelina Robles from Denver. She joins the Coyotes with one year of eligibility remaining.

Robles, a 5-5 guard from San Diego, Calif., appeared in 87 games and made 53 starts with the Pioneers. She averaged 7.6 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game at Denver.

"Angie is a tough and talented guard that will add valuable Summit League experience to our team next year," Eighmey said. "She's an aggressive downhill driver, can score from the perimeter, and makes her teammates better. Defensively, Angie takes a ton of pride in competing and keeping the ball in front! We are thrilled she has decided to be a Yote!"

Robles has averaged over nine points per game each of the last two seasons, and recorded three assists per game as the primary point guard for the Pioneers during the 2023-24 season. To close out the 2024-25 campaign, Robles averaged 11.4 points per game during conference play and was an efficient free throw shooter, converting 81% of her attempts at the line. She scored in double figures 11 times during conference play last season, including three 20-point games.

During her sophomore campaign with the Pioneers, Robles led the Summit League in assist-to-turnover ratio, recording 86 assists to 53 turnovers (1.6 ratio). That number improved during conference play, where she had twice as many assists as turnovers (34 to 17).

As a prep at The Bishop's School in San Diego, Robles was a four-time all-CIF San Diego First Team selection while scoring over 1,500 points. She was a McDonald's all-America nominee her senior season and averaged 28.6 points per game as a senior.
