VERMILLION, S.D. – The College Triathlon Coaches Association (CTCA) has unveiled its 2025 preseason poll, and the Coyotes were voted eighth by the coaches.
 
The Coyotes, who placed seventh at the Division I Collegiate Championship last fall, were voted behind the six teams who placed higher than them at the championships, plus the team that placed behind them in eighth in Florida.
 
Arizona and Arizona State were tied for first in the preseason poll. Queens, TCU, and Denver round out the top five.
 
USD is ready to get the 2025 season start Saturday in Western South Dakota at the Southern Hills Collegiate Cup. USD returns three of their five scorers from the Collegiate Championship, including the top finisher on the team in Alexa Magallon who took 17^th.
