VERMILLION, S.D. – South Dakota head women's basketball coach Carrie Eighmey is excited to announce the 2025-26 non-conference schedule, a 14-game slate split evenly with seven home games and seven games away from the Sanford Coyote Sports Center.
 
The Coyotes start the season on their home floor for a fifth consecutive season, this season with a game against York University (Neb.) on the first night of the season, Nov. 3. Their first three games are on the freshly repainted Abbott Court of the Sanford Coyote Sports Center, and five of their eight November games take place in Vermillion.
 
Following the home opener against York, the Coyotes welcome Air Force to Vermillion on Nov. 7 for the first time in series history. The Yotes are 1-1 against the Falcons in program history, including an overtime loss at Air Force last fall. The Yotes wrap up their homestand with a Nov. 10 game against Buena Vista (Iowa).
 
The Yotes first road test is a big one, as South Dakota heads to Manhattan, Kan. for a showdown with Kansas State on Nov. 13. It is USD's fifth time making the trip to Manhattan, and the first time since the 2015-16. South Dakota will stay on the road for a game at Idaho State on Nov. 16.

To end the first month of the season, the Coyotes will face Valparaiso (4th meeting all-time) and Arkansas Pine Bluff (1^st meeting) at home and make a trip to Wyoming (8^th meeting) on Nov. 29 to wrap up the month. USD fell at home to Wyoming last season.
 
The third Big Sky-Summit Challenge is set for Dec. 3 and 6 at Portland State and at home against Eastern Washington. The home matchup with Eastern Washington is just one of two games in Vermillion during the month of December. The second is a game against College of Saint Mary (Neb.) on Dec. 14.
 
South Dakota's road tests for the rest of the month of December include a trip to Bradley (fifth meeting in the last six years) on Dec. 10 and to Pepperdine on Dec. 17-18. The Yotes will play two games at Pepperdine, facing the host school on the 17^th, and getting to play UTRGV on the 18^th.
 
In total, the Coyotes will see two programs they've never faced before and have two opponents on the schedule from a season ago.
