PREVIEW: South Dakota to compete in back to back duals

VERMILLION, S.D. —  The Coyotes will travel to Omaha, Neb. on Friday, January 23 to compete in a dual against the Mavericks before returning to Vermillion to take on the Jackrabbits of SDSU on Saturday, January 24. 
 
THE OPPONENT
USD has not yet taken on Omaha this season, but the Mavs have won duals against a couple teams that USD has also defeated, including St. Thomas and SDSU. Last season the two schools met in a dual where they split, the South Dakota men losing 145-155 and the women winning 174-126.
 
The Yotes and Jackrabbits last faced off earlier this season at the Tommie Invitational. Both USD teams came in first while both SDSU teams followed in second.

On Friday events will start after Omaha's senior recognition at 4 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
The Yotes last competed in dual against St. Thomas on January 2-3. The women's team won 157-143 and the men won 165-135. South Dakota compiled 25 event wins over the two day meet.
