Yotes picked third in Preseason Poll

Sioux Falls, S.D. - The South Dakota women's golf team was selected to finish third in the Summit League preseason poll, voted on by the conference's head coaches. Ella Greenberg was tabbed USD's player to watch.
 
The Yotes averaged a 303.15 per round (per four-player team) this fall with a low round of 290. The claimed two second place team finishes while competing at the Redbird Invitational and the NDSU Invitational. They also tied for third at the Diane Thomason Invitational.
 
Ella Greenberg led the way in the Coyote's fall campaign with three top-five finishes over five tournaments and the lowest average score per round at 74.31. She also earned weekly Summit League honors on October 23 for her t-5thplace finish at the Powercat Invitational. 
 
USD will return to tournament play February 20-22 (Friday-Sunday) at the Rio Verde Collegiate Invitational. This starts a five tournament schedule that includes stops in Camarillo, Calif., Branson, Mo., Omaha, Neb., and finally a stop in Mesa, Ariz. for the Summit League Championships.
