SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – For the second consecutive week and third time this season,
Anna Willis earned the Kwik Star Summit League Women's Field Peak Performer of the Week award, announced by the conference office Tuesday afternoon.
Â
Willis won the Championship Division of the women's pole vault at the Tyson Invitational with a personal best 15-1 (4.60m). Teammate
Marleen Mülla also cleared 15-1, but a miss from Mülla at an earlier height was the difference in first and second place at the meet. The two now share the indoor school record previously held by Mülla with their performances Saturday in Fayetteville.
Â
Willis and Mülla are the first Coyotes to go over 15-0 indoor in the women's pole vault. The 15-1 height matches Emily Grove's any season program best set during the 2017 outdoor season.
Â
That height ranks first in the Summit League this season and tied for second in the NCAA. This is Willis' fourth indoor weekly honor of her career, third this season.
