Coyotes see season, personal best performances to highlight strong day at Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational

LINCOLN, Neb. – South Dakota Track and Field took on a strong field on the first day of the Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational Friday afternoon.

TOP PERFORMERS
• 10 new Coyote Top 10 marks were set Friday, highlighted by No. 2 all-time marks from Delaney Smith (weight throw), Ethan Baessler (60-meters), Kali Ringstmeyer (60-meters).
• Delaney Smith won the weight throw with a personal best 68-4 ½ (20.84m) that ranks second in school history. She is 21st in the NCAA in the event.
• Kali Ringstmeyer's prelim time of 7.53 and Ethan Baessler's finals time of 6.70 in the women's and men's 60-meters, respectively, ranks second on the Coyote Indoor Top 10 list.
• Anna Willis' indoor best of 14-8 ¼ ranks her third in USD indoor history and 6th on the NCAA list, giving USD two pole vaulters inside the top 10 nationally (Marleen Mülla, 3rd).
• Caelan Harland's 17-7 clearance in the men's pole vault is the top height in the Summit League this spring and ranks 28th in the NCAA.
