VERMILLION, S.D.–  Coach Pasha Zinchenko announces the signing of Aiya Myrzakulova to join the women's tennis program beginning in Fall 2026. 
 

A 5-foot-7 freshman from Almaty, Kazakhstan, Aiya brings international tournament experience and a strong competitive résumé to the program. She has competed extensively on the ITF Junior Circuit and previously achieved an ITF Junior World Ranking of No. 766. 

Among her career highlights, Aiya captured the singles title at the ITF J30 Bukhara and finished as singles finalist at the ITF J30 Karshi. She has also recorded multiple runner-up doubles finishes at ITF J30 Bukhara, ITF J30 Dushanbe, ITF J60 Cholpon-Ata, and ITF J60 Andijan. 

Aiya placed sixth at the Roland Garros Junior Series by Renault Qualification (West & Central Asia) and advanced to the semifinals in singles at the Kazakhstan National Adult Championship, where she also earned a third-place doubles finish. Additional achievements include second-place finishes in both singles and doubles at the U16 Tournament in Ust-Kamenogorsk. 

She graduates in 2026 from Author's School of Zhaniya Aubakirova in Almaty. Aiya will join the Coyotes as a freshman for the 2026–27 season
