VERMILLION, S.D.— The South Dakota women's tennis team has announced its 2026 fall schedule, featuring three invitationals across South Dakota, Nebraska and Iowa as the Coyotes begin the 2026-27 season. 

South Dakota opens the fall Sept. 12-13 at the Augustana Invite in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The Coyotes will then travel to Omaha, Nebraska, for the Creighton Invite Sept. 25-26 before closing the fall at the Drake Invite Oct. 30-Nov. 1 in Des Moines, Iowa. 

The Coyotes return four players from last season's squad, including Natalia Alves de Lima, Ava Doddridge, Cassy Marra and Keta Shavishvili. 

Alves de Lima posted a 7-7 singles record in 2025-26, including a 4-1 mark in tournament play. Shavishvili also returns after compiling an 8-6 singles record, including a 4-1 tournament mark, while going 4-1 in doubles competition. 

Doddridge returns for her sophomore season after appearing in singles and doubles competition last season. She finished 2-0 in doubles play, including a 2-0 record alongside Anna Medvyedyeva. Marra also returns after recording a 4-7 singles record during the 2025-26 season. 

South Dakota adds Sonya Issakova to the roster for the 2026-27 season. The sophomore joins the Coyotes after competing at Murray State. A native of Almaty, Kazakhstan, Issakova was ranked No. 209 in the ITF junior rankings and won five ITF junior singles titles along with a 2024 ITF junior doubles title prior to beginning her collegiate career. 

The Coyotes also welcome three freshmen to the roster in Nora Krajewski, a Yankton, South Dakota, native; Aiya Myrzakulova of Almaty, Kazakhstan; and Nastya Soloveva of Moscow, Russia. 

South Dakota finished the 2025-26 season with a 4-7 overall record, including a 3-2 mark at home and a 1-1 record in neutral-site competition. The fall schedule will give the Coyotes three opportunities for tournament competition before returning to dual-match play in the spring. 

The Coyotes begin the 2026-27 season Sept. 12-13 at the Augustana Invite in Sioux Falls.
