TORÚN, Poland – Two Coyote alums and one current Coyote competed at the 2026 Athletics World Indoor Championships in Torún, Poland this weekend.
The 2026 World Indoor Championships are the first World Championship or Olympic competition to feature three or more athletes who competed collegiately at USD.
Sara Reifenrath made her international debut by running in the 4x400-meter mixed relay. The United States placed fifth after being involved in a collision during a changeover. Reifenrath ran the second leg for Team USA.
Chris Nilsen, the 2021 Tokyo Olympics Silver Medalist, competed in the men's pole vault, earning a share of ninth place with a result of 18-8 ¼ (5.70m). Nilsen was one of the USA Track & Field co-captains for this weekend's Championships.
Mülla, a South Dakota senior who just placed runner-up at the NCAA Indoor Championships a week ago, was in Poland representing her home country of Estonia. Mülla cleared 14-3 ¼ (4.35m) before bowing out, placing 13
th overall.
