VERMILLION, S.D. — The South Dakota men's golf team returns to action Monday at the Wildcat Invitational at Colbert Hills Golf Club in Manhattan, Kansas. The 54-hole tournament begins Monday, Sept. 14, with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. for the opening two rounds. The final round is scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 15, at 8:30 a.m.
THE COYOTES
South Dakota will send five golfers to compete at the Wildcat Invitational, with Jack Holtz, Christopher Whittle, Parker Etzel, Lance Hamak and Cole Witherow representing the Coyotes.
The Coyotes will compete in a 15-school field that includes host Kansas State, Bradley, Creighton, Drake, Incarnate Word, Kansas City, Lindenwood, North Dakota, North Dakota State, Omaha, South Dakota State, Southern Illinois and St. Thomas.
The tournament features several familiar Summit League opponents, with Kansas City, North Dakota, North Dakota State, Omaha and South Dakota State joining the Coyotes in the field. The competition provides South Dakota with an early opportunity to compete against conference opponents during the fall season.
Holtz will lead the Coyote lineup, followed by Whittle, Etzel, Hamak, and Witherow.
The Coyotes opened the 2026 fall season last week at the ANF Fall Classic at Blue Top Ridge in Riverside, Iowa. South Dakota will look to continue its fall campaign at Colbert Hills.
